Does anyone know where I could get smoked rear turn signals from. I see quite a few people on my350z with them, and I think it would look nice with my smoked tint. Is this just an overlay or a different housing and is it illegal. Thanks for the help

from what i understand it is a translucent paint spray that you apply yourself.

I haven't see how the rear turn signals are set up but from previous experiences with other vehicles, all I had to do was remove the whole turn signal assembly, lay a piece of window tint over the clear section and place it back into its place and WALA! You have smoked rear turn signals/backup lights ect. I'm pretty sure you can do the same with the Z since the turn signal platic parts don't seem to molded as part of the rear bumper. As a matter of fact I'm gonna try that right now! Yeah, I love DIY Z Projects.

You can actually get them at places that sell JDM stuff. Japanese domestic market...although they are kinda rare for rear ones, the front ones for some reason are a dime a dozen..

I wouldnt think so, as long as the bulbs are DOT legal amber

Illegal? Probably not. But why would you want to limit the ability for someone to actually 'see' you signal for a turn in exchange for being "cool"?
