A&Q about 350Z
Q:
i'm sure he'll remember. the fact that you are asking anonymous strangers on the internet about whether you should let the guy sitting to your left drive your car... could that be saying something about "trust?"
i'm not sure exactly what it might be saying about trust, but i'm thinking you trust anonymous strangers on the internet more than you trust the guy sitting to your left.
that should be the deal maker/breaker, in my opinion.

I have had several people ask me if they could drive my car.
I told them, "HELL NO!".
Go to Nissan and test drive one of theirs.

Remember, the Mustang GT has 300 ft/lbs torque to your 274. His car will "feel" faster to him than yours. He may not think your car is fast unless he beats the crap out of it all the way up to redline. Do you want that?
A:
Oh for hell's sake, what's he gonna do to it? Drive it? Maybe push the gas peday to the floor to see what happens? Or maybe worse, he could flog it around a couple of corners. I've let anybody I know well enough to say good morning to when I show up to work drive my car if they wanted to, hell I even traded a guy with an A4 for a weekend once. I let anybody who wants to at an autocross test day take it out and flog it around the course (In exchange for a run in thiers of course!). It's not a piece of fine china people, it's a f%&king car.

I've let people drive my 6 speed even when they've never driven a manual. It is fun to teach people to drive a manual in an empty parking lot, but never on the street.

he's already got a sports car...now let him drive a real sports car...

I let someone drive ONCE because I had a couple of drinks and I sobered up quick as soon as I got in the passenger seat!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL ANY ONE DRIVE MY CAR!!!!!!!!!!!! people always ask to drive and I live in the city so I ask for what you can't drive but so fast?? They just wanna get all reckless in your car so why take the risk if they don't hand you several thousand dollars for colateral.
A:
C'mon..........let him drive. Just tell him to be careful and you go with him!
A:
Tell him to go to the dealer and drive a demo
A:
yea just let him drive it its not a big deal, as long as your in the car with him. I let people drive my car, but only if I know that they will appreciate it, like if they are into cars and such. He sounds like hes genuinely interested in your car and if hes a cool guy whats the big deal. He does have a stang so maybe the power wont phase him, but I love telling people to floor my car a little bit the first time they drive it. The look on their face is priceless. My mom pissed and moaned about me getting such an impractical car, but now evertime I let her drive it she thinks she's michael andretti or something. she drives crazier than me. Hey maybe you'll even convert him to our side.
A:
hmm.....I only have a select few who Id allow drive mine...close friends...and such. It really depends on how you know him and the feeling you get. do you have even the slightest feeling he'll thrash it ar put the car at risk? dont do it. If you feel completely confident he'll treat it with the respect of a true enthusiast, then go for it.
Personally I think that if you had enough doubt to ask this question then its not worth it.

There are two people who get to drive any of my cars: me and my wife. You can treat your car like a playground toy if you want.
It may be a f%&king car, but it's my f%&king car, and I'll keep it the way I intend to keep it: my butt in the seat, my foot on the gas and brakes, my hand on the shifter. And my wife's.
