Puttin On The Brakes

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Has anyone put the hawk HPS pads on their Z. If so do they really
reduce the dust factor, they claim to? I got 17K on the 350 and sick of
the dust on the wheels after driving around the block once after a wash.
Just looking for a good lead on a dustless pad that still stops the car.
don't want to hear what you've seen on a web page,do you own them
and do they work, dustless as possible.

ive got them from tirerack.com (fronts like 61.00) but havent put them on yet. Waiting to lift the front of the car for springs, new lights, and front bumper, so I'm going to do it all at once...drew

What kind of lights are you putting on bam?
A:

check out www.my350z.com and go to inventor classifieds. Then click on ARES and his new lights. They are like an ultra white (HID looking ) parking light. Let me know what you think..drew

Mr Motion; Thank you very much for the informative reply. I have looked at the Green Stuff pads and have considered them but as yet, not priced them. Some real input is refreshing, compared to some of the advice one
is exposed to.

Mr. Motion, how hard is it to change the front pads? Anything to be cautious of? Any tips?
A:

Hapstr,
I just installed the hawk HPS pads last week. I have about 150mi on them. I went with Hawk because they are a little cheaper than Greenstuff and also get rave reviews. They are a vast improvement over the OEM pads, but not exactly dust free. I'm now getting about the same amount of dust on the front as I get with the oem pads on the rear. The next time around I will try the greenstuff to see if they are any better.

John; Thank you very much for your info, this is what I wanted to hear,
real information. I think at this time the Green Stuff is the way to go.
