A&Q about 350Z
Q:
ZNESS- I used to only use Meguiar's #7, it makes the deep cranberry color on my supra just look sweet, beautiful mirror finish. But it really didn't do much for me on my sunset Z. I tried the NXT from meguiars and it's night and day better. No dust, and gives a suprisingly deep finish for such a light color, and it's probably about half the work as #7. And the extra bonus I found this last weekend is that bugs just absolutely do not stick, wash right off.

My Mustang is dark red. Must be something about Meguiar's #7 and red paint. The best part about this stuff is that it leaves no white residue like wax.

Nothing but Zainos. At first, its a real pain in the ass until you get the hang of it. I got frustrated and switched over to Meguiar's. BIG MISTAKE! Meguiar's is greasy and attracted so much dust on my car and it looked like **** compared to Zainos. Everyone else noticed the difference and told me so. I atoned for my sins and went back to Zainos. It was a painful and laborious process, but the results paid off. My car now looks the way it should (to me of course) and that's what counts. Go to Zainos web site and follow the step-by-step instructions and tips that Zaino gives you. Once you get the process down pat, it becomes easy. As Sal Zaino always reminds me, you cant't put it on too thin. That's the trick and it takes practice. Also, its nice to be able to call or E-mail the owner, Sal Zaino, and get his advice. He's always willing and happy to help. Try doing that with Meguiar's.

I have to pledge for Zaino's. 1.5-OZ will do the first coat, and after that 1-OZ is more than enough. It goes a long way and lasted me all winter (4 months).
Nikki is right, Sal really puts his all into his work. Very personal service (If you want it).

1½ or 1 oz. is way too much. In keeping with the Zaino mantra of less is better I find that about 1/3 to ½ oz works fine. Now, when you use that one ounce to put three layers on, then you've done it right.

To each his own, however following Sal's application advice, I am simply stating my own experiences. Temperature, humidity, etc. will come into play and may make the difference of a 1/4 oz.
Applying ZFX™ Enabled Show Car Polish
Follow these easy steps:
Apply Zaino Show Car Polish enabled with ZFX™ with a 100%, made in the USA, cotton applicator. Use the polish sparingly. A small amount goes a long way, and you will be applying multiple coats.
Squirt a dime size dab of polish on your applicator and rub it into your paint using circular hand motions. Then, go over the same area using a straight back and forth motion on top panels and an up and down motion on side panels. Allow the polish to haze over (20 minutes is sufficient).
Buff off the Show Car Polish residue with a high quality, 100%, made in the USA, cotton detailing towel.
After buffing, spray the car with a light mist of Z-6 Ultra Clean™ detailing spray. Z-6 will help buff away any remaining residue and enhances the brightness of the finish. Using Z-6, the next coat of Zaino Show Car Polish will apply even easier.

I used to use Meguiar's. I have a black pearl 300. Two weeks ago I cleaned it up with Z7, Z18, Z7, Z5, Z3 (only 1 coat). It took 3 hours and the products cost $65 and it was well worth it. The best my car has looked in 10 years. No swirl marks!

Got to put in a vote for the meguirs -I use meguirs polymer sealant on the freshly painted 260 and it looks killer, the white has a really deeply reflective characteristic now
