My dead pedal was loose as you indicate and I had the dealer replace it under warranty. I took it apart and the plastic nuts were broken so it was covered under warranty.
A:
I had the Lo Jack Early Warning System installed on my Z for 6 useless months.
The transmitter was apparently near the dead pedal. Lo Jack came out so many times to "fix" their alpha product they finally refunded my money.
After Lo Jack serviced my car my dead pedal was loose, or found left lying on the floor and is still wobbley now.
My attention is currently on my 2nd set of feathered/cupping/chopping front tires with 5k plus miles on them. I am waiting to hear from NNA.
