heat problem ???

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

i dont know if anyone else faced this problem, but currently i have a heat problem in my Z.
everytime i reach more than 100km/h the car become hot from inside (specily in the driver side), it is like the heat of exhaust is coming inside the car. i also got this peoblem when i use the manual mode for the transmission (when the rpm goes above 4k)
i only done 1000km in my Z
i took my car to Nissan dealer, and the guy from nissan tried to give BS reasons, like the car is so low, and it is close to the exahust so it is normal to have the heat transmitted to the seats. i told him this is BS.
anyone know if this a common problem in all Z or only in some of them ??

Mine does not give much heat, but check the tranny fluid while the car is running to see if there is enought. I rode in a viper before, and let me tell you those mufflers heat up that car a lot. The guy at nissan might have not been B.S.ing you too much. Anyways, i hope this helps you out

I have not experienced this problem myself but have heard of it. Several months back, there was a thread regarding this subject and there was a homemade heat shield suggested that seemed to work really well. Do the search and maybe you will find it. The problem then was associated with hot feet.

I've had my z up to 110 mph once and 80 several times and never noticed any heat. I do leave my automatic temperature control at 75 degrees at all time.

here in UAE, we have only one model of the Z, which has all options of the Toruring model, plus the brembo and aerokit of the track model.
and for the seat wamer button, i asked the technichans from Nissan to disconnect the driver seat button. it is not the problem, becuse when the car become hot, it wasnt from the seat warmer, becuse the whole area under the driver become hot, starting from the peadels to the seat, and i was sure that the button was switched off at that time.

My 2004 gets warm by the driver's feet every now and then. I haven't been in a true sports car yet, where it didn't get warm a little (ever been in an old vette or mustang? now that's warm!). I suppose to cut down on weight, some of the shielding/insulation has been reduced. Until my shoes catch fire, I am not too worried about it.

For your future comfort, I offer this: Check out "insulation for my feet" along December time (2003)... I don't think Nissan warranted keeping your foot temperature regulated, but if you would not be embarrassed, why not ask!
A:

I drive my Z with my shoes off whenever practical. If I've driven awhile, I DO notice that the floorboard behind the pedals gets VERY warm - too warm to be comfortable on your feet! Gotta be insufficient heat shielding.

so, this is a common problem in all Z....
