I would love to own a 96 300zx with only 27k miles. Are you selling?
A:
Do people realy think the Z will be a reliable car in winter(snow)?
A:
I found that it was undriveable in only 1 inch of snow....
A:
My sister just sold her 2003 Z yesterday. She got exactly what she paid for it a year ago. In cash!!!! It was a snow issue too. The Z has the best resale value right now and they're hot, you can get more than 25% off MSRP if you sell it outright (which should NOT be difficult). She sold it on ebay in 4 hours in Kansas City.
A:
zness, i never took my 911 out in the snow. the one time i got trapped at the office (it was a beautiful day when i left, but turned ominous later) took me 3 hours to get home at like 10 mph. what a gut buster! every time i barely touched the gas, the back end would fish around.
since the Z was advertised as a 911 killer, i'm not surprised that like it's rival, it would have poor snow performance.

Dont think the Z was classified as the "911 killer". Maybe the boxster but def not the 911
A:
Correct. Pre-sale ads targeted the Boxster (non "S" model) and not the 911. They hit the target in an economical way in my opinion.

It depends on the 911. It is true to say a 911 will beat the z, all things being equal, although in the real world all things are not equal. On the other hand, even a lousy z driver shoud be able to beat most older 911s with their propensity for serious oversteer. It takes one hell of a driver to fully exploit the potential of the older 911- it only took Porsche 30 years to sort out the fundamentally flawed rear design. Day in and day out the z will beat a Boxster and run with the BoxsterS which is pretty good for a $35,000 car vs a $55,000 - $65,000 car let alone $90,000+ for the 911. Plus, as an added benefit, while the z has feathering. that's nothing compared to the self destructing Boxster engines at 20,000 miles.

You also need to be aware of the carfax internet information available for buyers & dealers.
Your car had a couple of thousand dollars of collison repairs performed on it.
This will most probably be in the carfax database. This might affect your resale value.
Just something to think about...
