Think im going with Injen new SES1985C. Go to www.Injen.com and check out a sound clip. Bout 850$ or so
A:

Borla true dual exhaust around $850.

The stillen exhaust offers a true cat back system with the most HP on the market. The price si $1150.00. I have it and am very happy with it.
A:

red 350, is the stillen much louder than stock? or is it deeper?

A:

the fujitsubo stainless steel, not the titanium, is kick ass for a great price

i went to the sound page that has all the exhausts audio clipped for us to enjoy. a friend and i listened to all of them, and we both agreed that either the stock, or the nismo, sound the best. can't speak much to the performance gain (fairly minimal without other mods, methinks.)
gotta say though, some day i may upgrade that exhaust, just not sure i like any of the choices today. i would add i would prefer a true dual exhaust.

I installed the NISMO cat back system last week and it sounds super.. Very deep sound that turns heads.. I had a guy in a Porche turbo ask we what was under the hood.. That should give you an idea how it sounds.. Cost was $835 from an internet seller.. Lee Nissan in maine.. Ordered on monday afternoon, arrived wednesday morning and it was on the car 2 hours later.. Super construction and it even has a plate with a serial number on the muffler!!

835? Wow, they sell it for close to 1000 at courtesy nissan ... think if i give that guy a call he'll do that deal for me also? Or do you just know him personally and hes helping you out? =)
A:

Riceboy: That's the price they charge $835. dealer cost is $770.. so there still making a nice few bucks on the system. Go search NISMO on line and look at Lee Motors.. I never delt with them before this.. I'm very happy..
Good Luck..

Greddy offers two versions, a "muffler assembly only" factory-style exhaust that offers slightly deeper sound and bigger outlets, smaller muffler "can" than factory and a "true dual" cat-back system. Both sell for around $500-600 and are very nice, stainless steel systems.

Having never installed an exhaust system, how difficult is it? Can you put the car up on stands and do it yourself? I have general automotive knowledge and change all the lubricants in all of my cars myself. I'd be willing to attempt something like this when the time is right...
Can anyone point to some online directions, with pics preferrably...

Leaning toward the Injen straight tip true dual exhaust. Just got my 350 Z 2 weeks ago and haven't taken the plunge, yet.
