Overspray

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I had a scratch on my Z, and They fixed it for free where I bought it. However when I wax the car I put like 2 coats of Maguire's Cleaner wax, and the hood and some parts of the car feel a little gritty. The wax works good though and does its job, and you cannot tell unless you touch it. When they repaired it, it was not at the dealership, and I did not notice untill 2 weeks later....Anyone have recomendations?????????Thank you....

Clay.

thanks azjimbo, I'll try it

thats what i was about to say, but personally i wouldnt want to use the clay bar because it takes to long. I just washed and waxed my Z, and it looks great. I should of have researched different waxes before i waxed mine.
A:

The clay bar if used properly really does not take long. You can easily do the Z in under a hour for sure.
A:

PLEASE do not use rubbing compound. Use a clay bar, it is always better to take a little more time, rather then use something too abrasive. This especially true if you aren't a pro. They make the clay's in a variety of coarses. I would look to CLAY MAGIC, or Meguirs, Norton or 3M-- can be found at a locla auto body supply store. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Overspray can be buffed off too with a fine compound.

2 words,
Zaino Bros.com. The kit does include a clay bar and it takes a bit longer, but when you're done you car is like glass. Get's all the overspray, pollutants etc. Will look like a show car. Shines like glass. Worth the work.

Thanks guys, I used the clay. You were all right it started by taking long, but when i got used to it, it was great and easy. And the car looks like glass. It did take me about 4 hours to do it, but i don't care, I love taking the time ....My Z's my baby
