A&Q about 350Z

Talk about thinking ahead! I haven't even purchased the Z yet (2wks to a month??) but I'm already interested in accessories...nothing beyond practical matters like a the clear bra I've read about. I know theres different makers (ie 3M etc), but for the Connecticut Z owners...have you used anyone in Ct. and how do you feel about your choice now?
Also..cost..for how much coverage? who and how much?
What color did you cover over?

Best investment to date... especially in our area where the plows throw rocks down during the winter months. Or if you drive on any highways in CT.
Got mine done in Greenwich. Great installer. CS Track. Full coverage which inlcuded... bumper, 1/2 hood, mirrors, wells, headlights. PRice depends on what you want protected.

Ask for Joe Kane. I am a cop in town... he should give you a good deal. I got an extra special deal of course. Also visitors from Japan were coming in and he thought it would be extra cool to have a 350Z there. This is back in Feb 03. Good timing.
They do all the true exotics and Greenwich has plenty of them!!!
Faint line across the hood is all you can see. Not a complaint to date.

I find it near impossible to do the speed limit. The car wants to go atleast 50 before its happy.

Doing the speed limit is near impossible in this car... especially on the highway when ya just want to open it up. Just after the break in period I got pulled over real early in the morning doing approx. 97mph. After identifying myself we laughed a bit, he checked out the car and said he was having a tough time catching up to me! Fortunate to have the badge that day. : )
I say it to this day... Z guys just get a warning ticket with me. I am biased what can I say!

Vic... I forgot about that. I was too focused on my LED's that day!! BTW I got mine from Ares and they look good on the test I did off the battery. I am hoping to have Jason at Westbury Nissan install the LED"s, intake and grounding wires. Unless you want to make some $$! Ha!
XXTuning did do my headlights....believe it was Craig. They did a great job UVM73...very meticulous. I watched the other installs too. While he was working on my car he related he provides the same kit that I had installed. Whichever is closer for you...geography wise.
Old Man in a Z... I did mine with a few nicks in the bumper. About a two months after I got the car. Still the best thing I ever did. I'd rather have 10 nicks and that is it over 10 nicks and still growing everyday.

Steve, I was at XXTuning today from noon to 1:30 PM discussing a meet we will have there on June 5th. They are going to offer special prices and group buy prices on items we choose plus special rate for dyno pulls for those interested. I will post more information after the ATCO meet on April 25th.
This Thursday there will be a Roadster owner (Andy) at XXTuning getting a stereo system installed. He will be there from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. XXTuning installed the clear film on his car. I'm going to swing by in the afternoon.
If you want to stop by there in the afternoon let me know what time you can make it and I'll plan to be there.
Mike, I ordered the 7 LED clear markers from ares. I'm still waiting for the clear reflector strips for the headlights but am getting restless. Westbury Nissan will probably be able to do your car much quicker than I can as they have all the tools. Let me know how it all comes out. Are you going to meet us on the 25th at the rest stop in Stamford?

I would like to stop in but we have a son coming home from a year in Baghdad Thursday.
Mike - he's in the 143rd. National Gaurd out of Brainard in Hartford . It's a MP unit with lots of local + state cops , do you know anyone in the Unit ???

Wow... definitely a happy day for you and the family Steve. That far outweighs any Z meet. I do not know anyone in the National Guard.
We should schedule a mini CT meet. Have some lunch somewhere for the day. Something simple. If you still have my email Steve just let me know what works for you.
