Just do a "feathering" search on this forum and
under their Repair section and you will have more than enough information for your court appearance.
Sorry to hear you are a member of the Feathering Fraternity too!

problem is, the tire problem does not make the 350Z a road hazard. i hear lots of people complaining, but i don't hear them say they go any slower once they get feathering.

I try not to post much on these threads, because I truly don't know much about the problem. I believe that tire feathering, although a huge topic on these and other boards, has affected the vast minority of the Z cars Nissan has sold. I think for that reason it does not play to Nissan's interest to "pay" for a solution, or it is truly so "random" that they can't find one.
Does anyone have a good figure on what percent of '03 cars might have been affected? It is impossible to use figures from these boards, because frustrated people will tend to post, while those without problems will of course not post. I am sure Nissan won't release the figures.
I think the problem is real, and I think it stinks that Nissan won't fix it (or try to, or at least tell us why they can't or won't) for those affected. As in business (and life I guess), most things ultimately boil down to money. Best of luck with everything. In the meantime, try to enjoy the car if you can so you can at least get something for the money you have spent.

this thread is a joke right? good luck with your small claims attempt. apparently this is your first visit to any 350z forum. There have been thousands if not tens of thousands maybe even hundreds of thousands of posts on this subject here and elswhere. welcome to the NOW, where have you been?

Go easy on the kid. You sound like the typical Nissan mechanic.
