TCS Issues

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Anyone have issues with the TCS (tilt) coming on normal curves on the road ? An 18-wheeler cam close to rearending me due to the loss in power due the TCS. Any advice on adjusting it greatly appreciated?

If you get wider/tallerr tires and they aren't in the same size/ratios as stock, it can make the tcs come on unnecessarily (no wheel spin), also. I have the stock tires 225/50/17 in front and a couple of tires my buddy gave me to get through the winter 245/45/17 in the rear and this happens.

Turn it off unless you want more of those interesting experiences. I have it on the Z and my Corvette and it sucks on both of them...

I agree, I just drive with it off most of the time. But when I get new tires I am going to try to get the size ratios right so it is not an issue. I wish you could change the default on the tcs to off unless you purposely turn it on. I realize Nissan had it default to "on" to avoid liability if someone had a wreck and blamed Nissan for the default being to off. It's not much of an issue to me though. I still love my 350Z.

agreed MP... i'm sure some techno gearhead could figure out how to do that... it might just be a relay of some sort that is set to default on... i shall inquire on my next visit to the dealer...
