Trans and Diff Fluid Change

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Hey guys, had some questions about how I should change the Tranny and Differential oil on my 350Z. I HAVE A 6SPD MANUAL TRANNY and ym Z is an Enthusiast Model.
Where does the oil go in? Is there like some kind of piping in the engine bay or something like that?
How do I drain it?
I know im ignorant ._. This is a cry for help! Help a Z owner out :D

Wow thanks for the help! I had a question on only one of the steps.
- Filled tranny through the fill hole with the suction gun till the oil drips out of the hole. Let it drip out till it stops and that will be the proper amount. (To get the 50/50 mix, I pumped MTL then MT-90 then MTL then MT-90 with the suction gun till full.)
I looked up the oil capacites and what oil is recommended by Nissan and found:
API GL-4, Viscosity SAE 75W-85 for tranny oil
API GL-5, Viscosity SAE 80W-90 for diff
I was confused by the 50/50 mix... How much of each should I put if i buy the red line oil (tranny)? Do I pump one quart of MTL then one quart of MT90 then repeat for a total of four quarts?
And Differential I just put 2 quarts of Red Line Oil 75W-90 X2 for Differential ($7.95/qt)?
Thanks Again for the Help!

Before I knew which grade of oil to use in the tranny and diff, I called Redline's tech support and gave him the information about our 350Z oil requirements. He recommended a 50/50 mixture of MTL and MT90 for the tranny and 75W-90 for the diff would be best. Also, many other 350Z owners have confirmed that information.
In regards to the procedure of getting 50/50 mix, I filled one suction gun full of MTL and then the MT90 and repeat until the tranny was full (dripping out of fill hole). I guess you could pour all 4 qts into a gallon bottle and get a better 50/50 mix. I like the small bottles because they fit under the car, so I didnt have to get out from under the car after every pump of the gun.
This is the number of bottles you need, but you will not use 100% before it begins to drip out of the fill hole.
- Red Line Oil MTL X2 and MT-90 X2 for Tranny ($7.95/qt)
- Red Line Oil 75W-90 X2 for Differential ($7.95/qt)
Good Luck.

You are welcome PhotoZ.
Greg: I do not remember having to purchase or deal with any kind of drain/fill plug washers on the tranny or diff. To be sure, you can call the Nissan dealer and ask if it requires one.
Good luck to you also.
