Unless you need the backseat, the Z is the clear winner in my eye's.

If you dont need the extra space the Z is where its at. the cars are soo close in performance its almost negligible but the Z has the definite edge. If you want a true sprots car you get the Z. You want a sweet sporty touring car you get the G. I also think the Z has more of a wow factor and the styling is alot sweeter. The G looks a little more refined, luxury car esq.

I think the Z looks way better.

G35 available with Brembos AND leather (both of which I want). You can only get either/or with the Z, for more $$. G isn't too terribly heavy for a luxury sport coupe at 3450 lb. Z at 3300 lb. seems pretty heavy for a sports car. I prefer the G's looks. Better warranty, likely better resale, better treatment by the dealership. For me, the G wins hands down.

yeah, but everyone i've known who drives a G35 is a dickhead behind the wheel. there seems to be some sort of invisible chip on their shoulders that you knock off when they see you. they MUST outdick you in traffic, even if it puts a life in danger.
so, considering that the G35 owners are very jealous of the Z, the Z wins :)
c'mon, forumites, we must tell this guy the truth about the G35 and what it turns you in to. i'd feel bad to not give you the skinny. if you drive a G35, you're a dickhead.

I pre-ordered a 350Z sight unseen in January 2002 (Well, I did see the shiny silver one at the L.A. auto show in December 2001.) I waited 7 months. I have enjoyed almost two years of ownership. Hmmmm....
Yup, I think the G35 is the better car.
