A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Last two days my car has felt like it was idleing alittle off. Wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this and what the problem may be.
Idle has been at or just below 750rpm's. Sounds like it is sputtering alittle. Didn't know if it was a bad tank of gas?? I only use 93 octane.
I don't have any engine mods. I did have the plenum polished and professionally installed by Westbury Nissan.
Any comments or experiences appreciated.

Did you have the plenum removed to have it polished? Even if not - if they poorly attached ANY vacuum lines, or worse yet put a hole/crack in one - ANYWHERE - your idle will be off. Have them verify all vacuum related readings with equipment. Find that leak!
Btw: the grounding kit CAN work. Ever pay close attention to your car's idle when you actuate your power windows/brakes/anything that draws juice? Your idle DOES get rougher. Anything that increases connectivity from the block to the components reduces that current loss. I plan on using a grounding kit soon.

The grounding kit will help with idle quality. But, if your car does not idle like it did before you have another problem. How long has it been since the intake was changed? I would check the plugs and injectors along with the wiring of components and lastly check for an intake leak.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I watched the entire install of the polished plenum. Everthing went very smooth....the installer had done about 20 already. I have driven the car about 3-4 times since the install. It was done about a month ago. I heard it may be a spark plug. Another member had this problem. At 5500 miles though I am surprised. I am going to take it to the dealership for a service (7500 mile) and ask them to look into it. Check the lines, plugs...etc. I usually don't drive around with the air on at all actually.
I did purchase a grounding kit already and will install it soon. I got the kit from courtesy..Max Grounding kit with the mylar sleeving. Very nice kit by the way and the silver won't discolor.
I hate not knowing what is going on. We'll see.
