Because there is not enough of a market requirement to make this a feature that can be used to sell the car. Plus, there is no pressure from any direct competitors to offer more than this. 3/36 is good enough. Don't get me wrong, there are many people out there (some like you) that want it, but there are just not enough to make it worth while to Nissan.
And it's not just Nissan.
