A&Q about 350Z
Q:
How much oil do you guys generally lose in between changes?
A:
yikes. I ashamed to admit that I have never checked. That dang dipstick is so darn clumsy and hard to read that I haven't much bothered with it.
A:
I call it my "dipsy doodle dipstick"! Craaaaazy Thang ain't it!
A:
I check mine all the tinme and havent burned anything substantial.
A:
How are you guys driving your cars? I drive mine hard and lose half a quart
A:
Remember different amounts of oil will come out from the pan depending on how level a surface you are on when you drain it. I know many people who are do-it-yourself'ers such as myself but have their front end on jack stands when they drain their oil. It isn't all going to come out unless the car is on level ground.

I don't recall seeing that anywhere in the manual...and I run Amsoil full synthetic religiously with no losses. 30,000 miles on the car.

"0". I run mine pretty hard. Anytime I am on highway I go as fast as conditions allow. Usually between 75-95mph. Take all curves and entry/exit ramps as fast as possible. Check oil every other week. Use Mobil 1, see no loss/burning of oil.
