There must be a difference in quality if the prices vary so much?!

john's right about the weight savings. my cf hood weighs about the same as the stock 350z hood. the added perk is the vent on the top that let's some of the heat out of the engine.

If you were turbo or road racing the car, I could see how it could arguably be beneficial. The cooler the better though I suppose. Bottom line, if it is money well spent to you, it's well spent.
