350z recall?? moisture in the headlights??

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I have been overhearing that there is a recall on the z, does anyone happen to know what for, if any. I am also pissed because my damn headlights get foggy on the inside like moisture, and it doesnt go away. does anyone know how to get them clear agian? One more thing, i have noticed that my trunk wont stay open in cold weather, do you know if the warranty will cover changing those? Thanks for all your Help.

Mine does all the things you have mentioned above, no answer for you though, I'll just check in to see what others say for you
A:

my best suggestion to you for the trunk problem is to look for stronger struts... i went to the dealer for the very same problem and they just told me that it was normal... then i put the spoiler on it... and then they blame it on the spoiler...
about a few months back i went to a RV shop that carried various parts for RVs they had some gas shocks like the ones on our trunk lid... but they were damn near impossible to get to collapse... i think i might get a set of them for my trunk... only $13 a piece... not bad when you add up how much you will save on asprin from the trunk knocking you silly on cold days...

i think the headlights are vented, so the moisture should go away.

Check with your dealer...their was a TSB issued on Headlamp fogging.
TSB #03074
My SB ZR still feels like HEAVEN....what a wild ride!
A:

The moisture goes away but I have a film on the inside of my head light that looks dingy, that is not acceptable in my book.
I also had the shocks replaced under warranty and was not charged a dime.
A:

Yeah...About the film...don't know if there is a whole lot you can do about that.
My question is this...Are all xenon headlamps vented on all cars? Is it something that is required due to the heat energy discharged by this type of headlamp? If not, why are our lamps vented?
