As a pre-order person I remember seeing most of these pictures at the time. In fact I was under the impression that the 18" wheels that are shown in these pictures were the ones that I was getting on my Touring. Boy was I wrong.

Many of us pre-orders did, indeed, have a lot of the same pics back then. We were all hungry for more information, though.

pretty cool...definitly brings me back a few years. the anticipation for any new pics or info back then was rediculous. I especially remember the HP debates that went down on a regular basis.

I'm not a pre-order but I did follow the production from early on all the way thruogh and bought mine in Jan 2003. How many of you remember and have the "Z" playing cards? I got them around 2001 with a letter stating something about "here is something to keep you busy while you wait". I never opened them and have them in my safe.
