ANY ONE EVER HERE ABOUT A VQ ENGINE THAT CONSUMES OIL?? IS THERE TSB OR ANYTHING ON THIS SUBJECT??

nissan actually has a oil consumption report that takes about 5-6 visits to complete. in my case the car had its 24.000 klm warranty visit.. new filter .....fresh oil and all the other stuff...away i go.... at about....30.500klm
i notice a rattle..no warning lights, bells whistles...nothing..procede directly to CLOSEST nissan dealer (not dealership that did warranty work, we will call it "A").. they tell me car is down 3.2 litres of oil......yes 3.2 liters.. means i lost OR burnt 3.2 litres of oil in 6.500 klm.So they top up the oil (with documentation to go with it)and i go to warranty dealership because they asked me to bring car to them so i do..... They drain all the oil that they just put in at the first dealership and charge me for an oil change, saying at 32.000 klm it would have to be done anyway. Told to come back after 1000 klm to start consumption report. At this point i am a little weary of the dealership. So 990 klm later i go to dealership "A" and ask them to check the oil, they tell me its down approx. 1/3 of a litre. I then go to warranty dealer ,they dip it and say its within parameters of dip stick.... I then tell him i had it done a dealership "A", 45 minutes before i arrived to see him and told him that dealership "A" said it was down.. well big kafuffle..... they roll car into garage (at my request) did not want to start engine. They drain entire car into a plastic container and measured EXACTLY what was in there...its down .9 of a litre, anyway it is an 05 and i am concerned that this car is consuming oil and really do not know what to do.... bottom line is its burning or losing oil. No oil patches anywhere where car is parked at anytime so simple deduction says its burning it..New car with 32.000 klm on it and it seems to be burning oil.. looking for constructive advice on this matter.......... drzee

If it is worrying you this much, and it appears that it is, I believe that I would trade the car off and get something else.

Wow, I've never heard of that from a VQ engine until tonight. I'm gonna check my oil tomorrw. I had an oil change 2 1/2 months ago by me. Using Syntetic for 3 oil changes now. Anyways, do you guys drive really hard on a regular basis?
