they come off pretty easy. i took mine off on a hot day with a credit card. the emblems on the front and back middle are a bit tougher to get off.

Ideally I want a car with no name branded on it. I am not ready to pay for the expense to remove the center front and rear piece and fix the holes created.

Not that I condone the removal of anything that says "Z", if you must remove the badge and it leaves behind some residue, they have this stuff at the auto parts store called "Goo Gone" that works well. Especially helpful for lame dealer decals and keeps you from accidentally scratching your paint.
