A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I am looking to get myself a nice new car this summer. Fortunately I have little in way of price restrictions (within reason of course) and I am stuck in between a few cars.
Leaving all biases behind, which car should i get: G35 or 350Z?
I am also considering a 300zx, but I am having a lot of trouble locating an decent ones that are reasonably priced.
If anyone could shed some light on this topic I would be much appriciative.
Thanks anyways.
Getting a 300z very soon.

... First you need to decide if you want a new or used car. The mintest of mint 300zx's are going to be 1/2 the cost of a new 350 or G35.
Clean 300z's aren't hard to find if you are willing to travel, otherwise if you don't live in cali, florida, or tx it may be hard to find one local.
The G35 and z are more luxerious/sporty types. The z leaning more towards the sporty side.
You should get the 350z if you'd rather keep the extra $$ and not have as much luxery.
Get the 300z if you want something rarer that will depreciate much less but take more pampering and maint. than a new car. All of them will be reliable if well taken care of.
Surprisingly enough, all perform very close to each other in all catagories if you go with the twin turbo model of the older 300zx. The 300z will give you much more potential for increasing its performance than the others as well.
If you haven't already test drove all the models, do that before you start trying to decide aimlessly.

realcom2 put it well too; consider 2 seats or front/rear. The G35 coupe can
look pretty dam good, but if you don't have any need for a rear seat - go with the Z. I'm a married father of two teenagers and my wife/kids said "get the Z". Of course I already had a 300ZX (NA)

i like the G35 less and less as time goes on. not sure if anyone else feels this way. it's mostly the way it looks. the more time goes by the less i like the way the g35 looks.
