A&Q about 350Z

Ok... so the day started out great. Me and a buddy went to our first SCCA Solo II event up in Rantoul IL. I didnt run my car because I wanted to see it happen first, but man it was a blast. Great people all around, helpfull, and eager to give you rides through the course. Highlight of the afternoon was a ride in a Lotus Elise, and damn that car is fast. (Not as fast as a certain Silver RX8 though) If youve never been to an event like this I HIGHLY reccommend it. I still have goosebumps.
The whole time were driving home, I am just stoked about going back tommorrow (Sunday) and running my car. I know that Im going to be slow, and probably spin out, but just to run the course is a huge 60 s adrenaline rush. After I drop my buddy off, Im driving home making a mental list of what I need to bring and how to prep my car. Well wouldnt you know it, but just as I started to think about adjusting tire pressure, the TPMS warning light came on.
After a visual inspection of my tire, I found a 1.5 inch piece of jagged steel (about the size of a key) in my right rear tire. Im crushed, as its Sunday tommorrow, I have little to no chance of getting the tire patched and up to Rantoul in time for registration. Not to mention I feel like I let down the new friends I met, after I promised them I would return and a ride along in my car. So If anyone is going to be at the SCCA event in Rantoul tommorrow, tell them Im sorry.
Edit\\ Make that two tires. I found another chunk of the same metal in my front right tire. Mike, thank you for the offer. I replied to your email.

With a cut like that I would NOT repair (patch) that tire!! It's not on a Yugo!
Even then I wouldn't. Just me because it's my life.

Its about 1.5 inch long and .25 inch wide. So the cut in the tire was only about .25 inch. Although this is about the maximum size I would patch before buying a new tire.
More good news on this whole thing. After pulling the tire, I noticed an abnormal wear pattern. It indicates a camber issue. Well normally not a problem, except its on the outside of the tire. With negative camber (The 06 is set up with) it should be on the inside of the tire. Im going to have the dealership check the alignment Friday and will keep you guys informed. I really hope this is not a repeat of the 03-04 front tire problem, but now in the rear.

your warranty on an alignment runs out at 12/12. if you have a rear toe issue then it'll be your money if you are out of that 12/12 unless the SM is very gracious to you.
