When I clean my K&N drop in air filter do I have to oil both sides of the filter or just the side that faces out and sucks in the air?

1. Do you have the K&N filter recharge kit?
2. If you do, did you read the directions provided?
3. If you do not, what kind of oil are you planning on using?
