seems hazardous to be watching movies going down the road... usually i'm moving fast enough to pay attention to the road... i want a DVD player too but not for "watch while you drive" purposes...

Better than what I was quoted. I was referred to Navtv.com, althogh you can't order thru the websie for the kit. You have to go to a specialized company & they have to apply for an acct w/ Navtv. The kit is $600.00, then you have to buy a DVD player between $200-$300, So it's about $900. I was also told if you do this it will VOID the warranty. So, that's why I decided not to do it. Plus if a cop sees you watching dvd you will get a ticket, because it's in the drivers view. I was on my way home from Dallas 1 night, & my friend had a portable dvd player on her lap watching movies, well I was also going 80mph. I got pulled over for speeding, & th e cop told me he saw the light on from the dvd player & could give me a tkt for that as well, but he decided not to make my night worse than it already was, so he let it go. So it's something to seriously think about. I decided not to get a DVD player at this time. If you don't like the Nav screen showing just turn off the Nav, or put it on INFO screen. It's less bothersome.

Just got back from the perzan audio radio center i saw the guy's dvd player in the G35 that he owns, i really cant describe it the thing is amazing,the picture guality is awsome even better than a high definition plasma screen.The best part is i has something like a little adapater commin under the steering wheel that has a usb port Auxilary port for your ipod &some other port that hooks up your laptop with your navi screen,oh and i almost forgot it has like a little switch whenever you see a cop you can turn it off.All that stuff in one little thing he also told me if dont want to buy a seperate dvd player i can hook up my latop to it to watch movies, but decided to get the dvd player with it anyway which is additional 200 bucks .Total is $650 bucks i gave him 100 dollars for the deposit told me to stop in moday.

Perhaps it's time to consider staying home.
I can see you now on your mobile phone calling someone to tell him about the awesome DVD you're watching on the way home from the grocery store. And maybe even sending him some vid off your mobile of you and the DVD you're watching. Don't forget to text message someone about it, too. Dude, that's the best!!
