A&Q about 350Z
Q:
MAN THATS BS! PERIOD! I am young, and I usually start using harsh language when crap like that happens. Don't let people at the dealership walk all over you!
You guys keep talking about the fuel line issue!?!!?
I don't even want to take my Z into the dealership here in Orlando.
I am afraid too, usually when someone works on my Z to fix a problem, they cause another.
Usually the dealerships have inexperienced TECH school grads playing with your Z, **** THAT!
It's a damn shame, I mean the service some of you speak of is really bad.
I have had the same experiences, but I walk in the dealership with a firm look on my face everytime. Meaning, they are evil, just like the salesman, they will try to avoid giving you freebies, warranty included! Nissan has poor service support for customers in my opionion.
I have a question. I bought my Z in August of 04, and I only have 9k miles on my engine, how does the warranty thing work?
Is it which ever comes first, the 3 yrs, or mileage? Please explain. Thanks.
A:
The warranty is pretty simple, it's over in 3yrs or 36K miles whichever occurs first, so you had that right.
Now as far as what we're discussing here, 'adjusting' things such as a window motor that pulls the window partially down when you want it rolled up, then adjustments are good for 12 month/12K miles, whichever occurs first.
Tire warranty (if you have one) also has it's own terms (I believe mine was like 24months/24K miles or something like that. Bottom line is you should review all this warranty stuff with the dealer prior to buying so you have a good idea of what to expect instead of assuming your car is completely covered by the manufacture's warranty. "Trust but verify" is a good motto to live by. :)

I'm not blaming the dealer - they called NNA to try to get it approved as warranty work but they said no. Nissan North in Columbus has been very supportive of my Z club, and they took the extra effort this time. My problem, as always, is with NNA and the corporate policy of trying to get out of every issue that has arisen, as well as the inconsistent service depending on whether you are lucky enough to live in the right place that has a district/area manager who is not a total d!ck. The district manager makes most of these calls from what I have been told.
