According to Nissans site it's not even supposed to arrive until 2008 as a 2009 model. Seems kind of early to be pre-ordering. Then again..... As for price and specs Nissan is keeping a tight lid on all that until the 2007 Tokyo Motor show. So until then I doubt we'll get any info. All we have to go on is that it's supposed to be twin turbo, V6, all-wheel-drive, and around 75k in price. It's also said that the G35 will end and a new car will replace it as the new skyline (the G35 is the skyline in Japan). What the new car will be called will probably depend on what motor it gets. If it's a 3.6 liter then probably a G36 or if it gets the rumored 3.2 liter then a G32. Who knows. Lots of rumors going around about all this. Time will tell!

The G35 has made quite a good name for itself so far. I'd be amazed if Infiniti replaced it or even renamed it.

Pre-orders? Without a price, there is no pre-order unless you are putting down a refundable deposit for the right to deal on a GTR later.
You are seeing an opportunistic dealer, he probably knows less about the GTR than you do.

True, but by 2009 it will be 6-7 years old. It's time for a change. Also I believe it's already been varified that the G35 will be replaced. Of course it will most likely be with something better so it's no loss to Nissan or consumers. Then again with all the rumors going around about this car it's hard to tell fact from fiction.

Finally, a realistic concept car. The exhaust looks goofy, but it wouldn't surprise me if they fixed that up a bit.

Me preorder a GTR?!? No I made a horrible mistake in having one kid that I just put through college and another one entering college next fall. Hold an uncooked egg up to the light. See that is your brain. Now drop said uncooked egg onto sunbaked concrete from eye level while standing on your tippy toes. See that is your brain married with college aged children. Any questions? If I can save but one of you from my mistakes...you'll be able to buy that GTR... and some more besides. But at least I have my 350Z!
