Mixing Tire OK??

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

hey don't feel bad i have all four tires a different make/model or any combination of the two...
for instance, my front tires are Potenzas, (got a set finally) my left rear is Falken, my right rear is BF goodrich...
During the last few months i've had to scrape and scratch together money to keep my car on the road... but now that i have a new job paying a significant difference over my last one... i should be putting my car back together here shortly...

Thanks for everybodies advice! I ordered a set of 4 BF Goodrich g-force TA KDW 2's yesterday. Currently scrubbing off as much Potenza rubber as possible, almost down to the wear bars on the rears at 11K mi.

You guys.......aren't...just a little bit....er....red necks...now ....are you???? he he. Yeah me too, ha. I got the free replacements in the front and a buddy gave me 2 rear tires, not potenzas, when my rears got bald and they wouldn't fit his beemer, anyway. I plan to go goodyear eagles on all 4 this summer, but right now I'm ragged and funny. As others said, it does not drive quite as well in curves, but it'll do till the front replacements wear out. I have to turn the TCS off to keep the slip light off in curves, but what the hell, the rears were free... Having said all that, I ran a 2.0 sec. 60 ft time on them a week ago last Sunday. Which isn't bad. And I cut a .000 sec. reaction time at the light. Yes, I know there is an element of luck to doing that reaction time, but it was fun anyway. I have cut a lot of lights down around .003 secs., but .000s are hard to come by. Yeah, ok, I have also !!##!!%ed up a few lights in my time too, but let's not go there. But even a bad day racing is better than a good day at work, IMO.
