Zaino??

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Been using Zaino since I got my Z. Newest order of final spray seems a bit dificult to get off without streak marks. I used to have to use their extreamly expensive blue accelerator liquid in the Z1, now I'm trying the Z5 but it does'nt say I need to add drops of the accelerator. Still have "swirl marks", always hand washed it myself.
Does anyone perceive that Zaino has changed their formulas?

You are supposed to use ZFX (accelerator) with both Z2 and Z5 or you have to let them sit long enough to cure. It only takes a few drops of ZFX. Zanio is so clear that swirl marks show through unless you use Z5. I usually put on two coats of Z5 and then one coat of Z2 each time I apply Zaino. Z5 helps cover most swirl marks.
Zaino also makes another product for swirl marks and scratches, Z-PC which is a paint cleaner swirl remover, but I haven't used it.
Have you ever clay barred your car? I did when I switched to Zaino and couldn't believe how much crap the clay bar picked up from the paint.
Are you referring to Z8 when you say final spray? It is much harder to get off than Z6, but it gives a deeper shine. I typically only use it as the final spray and not in between layers of Zaino polish. I use Z6 there instead.

Zaino is just so easy to apply and remove. No real buffing required and it layers really well.

Mcm4me, Your Welcome. The swirls could be caused by the Zaino not fully curing and leaving streaks in the polish. Otherwise the Z5 should help. I love Zaino it is a great product, especially for darker colored cars. Dr Bonz has a great guide on how to use Zaino. Here is a link to a thread on another 350Z website where he gives step by step instructions on how to use Zaino. It is in the second post.

I printed it out off my350z when I first started using Zaino several years ago and use it as a quick reference guide.
PerfZ, I agree with you about Zaino being easy to apply and remove and about multiple coats. The thinner the coats the better it works. Also with Z8 you have to do smaller areas than Z6 and wipe it about twice as much to completely dry it up.

Now thats what I'm talkin' about! That is one sharp 240.

Touche Justin!
Your 240 looks great,
maybe the pictures I've seen of your Z33 are light related photos.
Zanio makes your car look like it has a sheet of glass on top of your

Use the spray gizmo from Z-6. Apply to and work it in with these
You will be thrilled with the results.

Spent a good 3 hours of quality Zaino time this weekend and thanks to all the great advice, it worked out great. Put 4 drops of the accelerator in 3 oz of Z5 then very very light sprayof Z8 and a new dry towel and it looks like a million. My errors last time were undercured Z5 + moist towel with Z8. By the way my old Z5 container said nothing about the accelerator, the new one I just got says to use it with the accelerator.

I used a orbital buffer and ZPC on my Redline, it took out most of my swirls.
ZPC with an orbital does wonders!

mcm4me,
Good to hear that your errors in applying Zaino are now corrected. Did you take a look at Dr Bonz' guide to using Zaino? He is the guru in the 350Z world for using Zaino.
