what do you think of polish vs. wax? any brand recommendations?

Hey daddyg sup the way to go is zymol Natural Liquid Cleaner Wax it's all natural formula cleans and protects the paint.I used its the best trust me,to do the whole car it took me about 3,5 hours the results were amazing!!!Zaino is good too but zymol lasts longer.Check it out http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews59094.html

I've gotten Zainos application down to about 2 hours, but that includes time for it to dry/haze.
It takes me at least an hour and a half to wash and dry, but I'm nuts about hidden water producing drops on my clean car.
Do it right, or not at all.

Man oh man. You FORGOT about the wheels. How long to expunge the brake dust and keep it off?!! How many rags? How many different products? Do you buff or not buff? Do you clean your car in the buff?

I prefer to clean my car in the buff...that way when the ladies turn their heads and see my beautiful car, they can also see my beautiful man-frame as well.

3.5 hours to wax a car is excessive. the comma threw me off.
i'm very good to my car and waxing takes a long time, but i don't think it takes quite that long. guess it depends on how long you let the wax sit before wiping it off.

he said it takes him two... he didn't say he was gasping at it... what it takes him and what he thinks is excessive is two different things...
if i'm not in a hurry it takes me nearly 8 hours to wash, wax and detail my car... and this is without Zaino's long haze time... i plan on getting some soon (the full pro detail kit) so it's probably going to take me all weekend to complete my washing after i get the stuff...

Sometimes I polish my red car.
It takes time to do it right.
It takes at least two hours if the humidity is right
and the Zainos is not put on heavily.
I know how to add numbers, too.
See me wash my car in one and one half hours.
See me polish my car in two hours.
See me add up one and one half and two.
Look, Mom. Look, Dad. That adds up to three and one half hours.

WTF is that? Thanks, that really cleared it up for me. Although it didn't degrade me at all, so you've wasted valuable time that you could have used cleaning your car.
Oh, I'm a master's student, so I don't read about see spot anything... this got way off track as usual.........

Zanioing you car is worth the time and effort.
2 to 3 hours sounds about right.
Your Z will look better than than the day you drove it off the lot!!!!
