I'll bet you money that Nissan gives the nod to Infiniti for the GTR because the MSRP is going to be big. That kind of pricing does not match the market positioning of Nissan.

Infiniti takes the GTR because it is a premium car for a premium brand. That would almost be like VW label on the TT...except more exaggerated.

Yeah, the GTR is going to an expensive car, out of the reach of other Nissan owners. But that isn't to say there won't be new 350z designs with bigger engines.. I think there will be.

Technically the z32 was for 10 years, 90-99, maybe even 11 if you count the few 89's; just not all here in the U.S. I'd say the 350 lasts until at least 08, it is still the benchmark in design, and is frequently copied or at least influences many current designs.

The time between changes for successful vehicles seems to be getting shorter due to competition. Horsepower sells. I agree with everything said about handling, good looks, etc. Actually I could care less whether or not the Z changes. I love my Z as is. I do think, however, that Nissan will up the horsespower next year. How much is the big question. Hey guys, this is just my opinion. If you all have been reading all the car magazines over the last year you will see right away that the horspower war is now going full throttle! (no pun intended) Nissan has brought their company from the brink of going out of business to one of the hottest manufacturers over the past few years. I think a lot has to do with their large horsepower offerings at that time. 287HP for the Z was ahead of everyone except a Vette and a few others.
