A&Q about 350Z
Q:
If the 350Z did not exist, what car would you be driving now? No point in saying it would be a Viper or a Ford GT or whatever, stay pretty much within the Z's price range.
My answer is that I'd still be driving a 300ZX.

beautiful. I prefer the old headlight style but that car still looks incredible. They aren't as slow as people think they are either. Who cares, that car parked next to anything else says everything. Still costs 45k+ to get a good 97+ model though.

I would have to say for comparable price range I would get a used early 90's Supra. I have always loved those cars.

I finally got an email from the guy selling that black NSX...looks like a sale is pending already, so I may not even get a chance to look at it. :(
Oh well...it's a good thing I don't "NEED" it. I'll keep my eye out for another sexy car, whatever that may be. Not that I don't love my Z, just that it would have been a great deal. I love it when people are desperate to sell, you have them by the balls when it comes to negotiating. That's how I've bought my last 3 cars...way less than asking price. The only time I've been ripped was when I bought a used Civic from the dealer...boy did that teach me a lesson, but I only had to do that once to learn!
Buying from a dealer is the best way to throw your money away. Unless you absolultely have to have your car that day, a little patience and research to find someone who's already bought the same thing you are looking for will save you literally thousands. Sure you have to give up a few things like your first choice of color etc, but to me that's totally worth the money in my pocket, especially since the manufacture's warranty covers your risks when buying a near new car.

last time i checked u can still buy used cars. so a 90's supra is possible and so is a geo. i wouldnt mind having a geo as a daily driver to tell u the truth and jus drive my z on the weekends. cheap cars are a lot of fun. the can be rally/ daily drivers.
