Put this on your calendars now!
The tradition continues … the Z Car Club of Rochester (NY) is busy preparing for another fine weekend of entertainment, friendship and an amazing tour through the finest Scenic area of New York. Our ZCCR AmaZing Colors Fall Festival is all set for September 29th, 30th & October 1st, and the timing was specially picked to give our guests a look at what we never take for granted ... Western New York’s primetime and AmaZing fall foliage & scenery!
Let’s get started - imagine your Friday late afternoon arriving at the R.I.T. Inn and Conference center located on the outskirts of Rochester. There you will register and then join the Icebreaker reception in a meet and greet room with hor’dourves and refreshment (including a special draft from a local craft brewery and interesting wines from Finger Lakes regional vintners). You’ll meet up with other Z enthusiasts (some old friends, some newcomers) and have the opportunity share your latest Z adventures and other life’s stories.
Saturday you’ll wake to the start of an AmaZing Colors Fall Festival cruise through some truly spectacular areas of our Finger Lakes region. Time will be available on your tour for stops along the way at wineries, a brewery, interesting shops and of course you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the brilliant colors of fall while drifting past scenic vistas over twisty roads across hilltops and through valleys enlivened by Mother Natures guiding hand.
After the adventure, we meet back at the hotel to freshen up, and join in a Post Cruise Reception with cash bar. (Choose your favorite refreshment, nibble on our appetizers and partake in plenty of good old fashioned Z camaraderie)!
Saturday evening will be capped off with a dinner and charity auction event. Here you will partake in a buffet with several tasty selections prepared by the chefs of our host hotel, and there will be wonderful desserts for those who still have room. Before and after dinner we will conduct our charity auction. We’ll assure plenty of opportunities to bid on those fine Z car parts, gift certificates and memorabilia you always needed or just plain wanted. Remember, a great part of dinner is just relaxing with some of your closest Z car friends and talking over the latest modification, the past events, or who is the newest driver in the family. NOTE: 100% of the net-proceeds from this year’s entire event will be donated to charity.
Sunday grab a bucket and wash cloth, spiff up that fabulous Z and prepare it for the car show. The car show promises to be a fun and charitable event. There will be the usual people's choice voting with trophies for several categories. Here you show the car - It doesn't matter whether it just came off the assembly line, was recently rescued from the crusher, or is a ground up restoration. We all enjoy the Z’s and the stories that flow from the proud owners! (Wait ‘til you see the Best of Show trophy – Sweet it is!)
This is a weekend for sharing and having fun. Many of you have a lot of history to share and some newer to the Z family want to learn some of that and make a little themselves! Here is the venue to enjoy the common thread we all have. This will most likely be the final event before most of us put our Z cars to sleep for the year - Go out of the driving season in style. See your friends and the beauty that nature will provide in the colors of the foliage.
Registration is $60 (US funds) per attendee for the weekend which includes a Friday Ice-Breaker reception, the cruise activities, a Post-Cruise reception (cash bar), dinner at the charity auction event and then the car show Sunday! Please ask for a registration form to see all the options and costs.

Our host hotel is new to us, it's a really wonderful place ... check it out here: http://www.ritinn.com/ … The rooms will be available for $79/night for a king or two-double arrangement. It's a very nice place; we love the lobby & public areas - lots of fieldstone, dark wood, a fireplace that's always lit and sharing its warmth, very comfortable rooms too. Originally built as a Marriott hotel, it lacks for nothing.
For those who have been with us in the past, you know this is a fun filled weekend. For those who have not yet joined us, jump in – the Z fanatics you meet here will enliven your week-end, and likely be people you choose to keep a relationship with for life!
It won’t be long before the club website is back & actively promoting this activity, and all the clubs activities for 2006, watch for it at www.zccr.net In any event if you have any questions feel free to contact event co-chairs Mike Noonan or Frank McGinley. We hope to Z you there!

I moved from Buffalo to Atlanta Nov. 04, I would of attended the event for sure but live too far from Rochester. I will keep it in mind though.
