Bose upgrade???????????????? The rattle is probably their upgraded speaker.
A:
If it is real loud, it is probably related to frequency output. Does it sound like it is coming from the speaker, or is the noise coming from a body panel? Is the noise directly related to the music (i.e. does it rattle when the bass hits or something)?
Take it to a sound system expert...mine in Atlanta was very good at isolating buzzes and installing quick, creative, permanent fixes.

There are a couple of places that rattle from the speaker's bass. The first is the side panel where they meet. The side panel snaps into place with plastic clips. If you run the radio with some good bass and start touching the plastic panel you will find where you need to add foam tape. You simply put it between the two parts that are making the noise and it will stop. Check out the Nissan factory service manual on diagnosis of rattles and vibration.

i always hated that bose sub... all it does is vibrate the back of your seat... no real bass comes out of it... i've been running around with it disconnected for SOME time now... and really there is no difference...
