good god you people are WAY more gentle than i am... i just use the pressure washer over the main portions try not to spray directly over anything that looks electrical or not well sealed... also do it quickly... as to not flood the engine compartment with water... probably not a good thing... i mainly just clean off the large exposed surfaced and then go behind with a cloth and shiny goo crap... lol...
It's meguirs rubber and plastic shine stuff...
but i only do that if i'm really wanting it clean... also after an oil change i usually try to clean the undercarriage as good as possible due to the possibility of oil residue on the plastic covers...

One thing you should NEVER EVER EVER do is use a garden hose to spray down an engine if the engine is hot. If the engine is cold, go for it. The hose works fine and won't damage anything. If the engine is hot, water will cool the block so quickly that it can crack.

yeah... i flooded my dad's stratus before... not very fun... so definately let it dry before starting it... it will run like crap for the next week or so if you do...
