Found one of my rattles. In the "glovebox" behind the passenger seat is a false bottom, when raised reveals a small tray to hide your wallet or whatever. I removed this tray and found that the plastic tray was vibrating against what appears to be the connector to the fuel pump. There was a piece of insulation that was not glued at all to the frame, move back out of the way, which allowed the two parts to rattle. Some double stick tape to hold the soundproofing in place and voila one more rattle busted

I have a rattle too, coming from what seems to be the left side of the center console, the panel just on the right of the CD player. I don't know HOW I am going to fix that...got any suggestions?

Make sure it isnt ur rear view.....mine rattles and its hard to pinpoint. Next time u hear rattle, squeeze the rearview mirror tight.

i found that when inspecting my car... you know how it is... i looked in every nook and cranny when i got my car... and my board thing that sits in the glovebox doesn't sit flat so it was obvious to me...
i have the dash rattle too... and it does seem like it is coming from the left side of the trip computer... i found that one of them is the cup holder... but if you shut it... it goes away...

Excellent post, mcm4me! Very useful info. Had my 350Z 2 years now and didn't know.

Some of the early '03 Z's had a loose spring in the sun visor. I had my passenger visor changed back in Oct. '02 under warranty.
