A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Same for me. I think the tank must only hold 17 gallons.

It is common practice for manufacturers to design the fuel tank to read "E" when in reality there are a couple of gallons left in reserve. That way the people who like to ride it till the fuel light comes on still make it to the gas station. I assure you that the capacity stated in the owner's manual is the actual capacity of the tank. Drive it until it runs out if you don't believe the spec.

cmcniel, i thought of that, but my Z tells me how many miles it can go before the tank's empty, so it's easy to gauge exactly how low your tank really is.

i've had mine actually count down from 25 to -- and if you drive long enough it will show 2 dashes... and even with the -- i've gone about 2 miles... so i really don't try to guage my distance by the DTE monitor... it's fairly inaccurate... unless you'r on a road trip with the cruise control on... otherwise it'll jump up and down depending on how heavy your foot is at that moment...
