I think its actually pretty well done, very clean and it looks like its a show car, so i'd say he's achieving what he set out to. (yellowZ)

Looks like a bumble bee with an aircraft wing attached for take-off. I bet it draws attention...for the wrong reason ! And the crome wheels in the other pic's.......look like shyt in my opinion.

The wheels on the yellow car rock. As for the wing, I understand it's all a matter of personal preference, but I think it's hideous. And this is coming from a guy who actually likes some spoilers; i.e., I'm not a purist who is fundamentally opposed to body modifications. Please lose the wing!

Well the pics were on a very public gallery, So i Thoguht I'd share them. I mean like i said the sterns you put on are an improvement but in the pics i posted I think most would agree it looks ridiculous...not to mention theres few performance mods to warrant such outlandish appearance mods especially a $1000 spoiler. I do understand that it's your car and you can do what you want, but that doesnt stop anyone from making their own judgements. Also I'm one of the more mod friendly posters on this site so for me to say i'll of mods is pretty bad.

huh? Evo, STI, geez a good driver in an Altima SER could give a not so good driver in a Z a run for their money. TT a Z and you'd get alot more respect when your're running with c6's and vipers at the track than out-spoilering the local civics at a car show.

Well you guys have your point of view, to be honest, you are in the minority (not majority as you believe) since I get so many compliments about my car it isn't even funny. =)
As far as the Z build for show...nothing is built for show. The car looks great stock, yes, that's why I bought it. But car shows are about the modifications done to the stock vehicle, not showing off a stock car.
In regards to respect that depends on what you are looking for. Plenty of respect to be had at winning in shows. If you want other guys drooling at you then track is great. If you want chicks drooling it's at the show...I for one, would rather chill with the ladies. =P

sure...personal preference, i understand... most would say my C/F Nismo spoiler was ugly, but atleast it came from Nissan's in house tuner... so it matches with the body fluidly IMO...
the 2nd one... the rims are...ok.... they will kinda grow on ya... hate to clean them though...
3rd... lip's gotta go... looks like a minesweeper...
4th is cool...
5th the body kit doesn't match the OEM paint... it's like they painted the kit in Silver Stone and the car in Chrome silver... or did'not bother to blend it... not well done... then next problem is it's too much for the car... all the attention is drawn to the front bumper and not the lines of the car...

i'll just tell you though... the car looks the same... except for a for scratches and dents from avoiding a jeep swerving in my lane, Ex G/F, and a guy nearly taking off my front bumper when pulling into a quicky mart...
so taking a picture would only make me cry... sorry

Care to share where your other post was? I believe you probably grabbed those pics off my350z.com where I originally posted them. Most of the posts were middle ground on the topic or at least were constructive critisizm. For example, I agreed that black rims would look better and so ended up changing my rims.
Also, I'm curious what your car has done to it. Someone with such an opinon as to go to various sites, posting others' cars in an attempt to validate themselves, must have quite a bit done.

My car is bone stock except for clear corners and a popcharger...Im a poor college student. With that being said, Ive seen pretty much every mod for the Z, performance, aero, interior, wheels, mix and matched kits, vertical doors, and all that jazz...been to a few meets, but mostly just pouring over pictures and threads for 4 years here and over at my350Z. I certainly have stuff in my head that I would do to my Z, but mods cost $$ that i dont have. You were pretty confident that we were in the minority, so I figured Id get a few more opinions. Different strokes for different folks though, maybe you run with a younger crowd.
the pics were taken off somebody elses personal site(i think he had a DB ZR with a vizage fr.) that had a bunch of different galleries of each color Z. Can't remember the site off hand though...zmodified maybe?

I'll agree, I don't personally think that wing is something I'd put on my car. But I also don't order the same thing at a restraunt than you do either, I'm not going to make fun of your dinner...

well there ya go... i love the stock Z... in terms of aero... i don't necessarily like the stock 18s... IMO if you offset you might as well show it...
i also like WITH a spoiler...(Nismo BTW) that's why i put mine there... but i gotta agree that is excessive... don't get me wrong i'm not going to slam you for your preference... i just say i would have gone a different way...
someone sees your car... they expect it to be really fast... hope you can live up to it... also i really don't like the V3 kit... but i'm a real "functional" kinda person... Like if you stick a ram air hood on a car... at least fit it with the ram air intake... GT mustangs for example... complete waste of plastic...lol...
honestly your car is something that looks like it would end up on super street magazine or something... and end up having some young'en (lol...i'm 20) seeing that and end up ricing out another Z... next thing you know our beloved, legendary Zs will be considered no more than average ricer pocket rockets...amongst civics and focus...
you bought a purebred sports car, man... do you really want it claimed in the same class as a riced out import?

never in the vast scheme of things... however, to the single individual... with cars like that being fitted with such "trendy" components... HOWEVER FREAKING EXPENSIVE!!! that can be seen as "rice" will eventually spread to the concept taken by the majority of people stereotyping "Nissan" as another rice manufacturer... therefore anything nissan makes...with the exception of minivans, will be considered prospects for rice.
So, LEAD BY EXAMPLE...
you don't want people thinking your car is RICE... then dont make it look like rice!!!
its a group effort... it's reasons like this that our beloved legend is now in the next TFATF... and what a surprize!... riced the F!ck OUT!!!
