A&Q about 350Z

Hi, I am new to the Z world, I need some advice on buying a used 2004 or 2005 Z, first is there any difference except for price, I've looked on the net and both years seem to be the same, also I will be driving this car in the NE winter months, any suggestions on winter tires.

i hear that the 05 models are suppose to have a correction for thefront suspension on them, whether it's true or not i dunno... and also i don't remember if the did the HP switch from 286 to 300 on the 05s or the 06s but either way i hear that the higher HP has less torque... so that would be my first reson for choosing the other... unless it is just so minimal that it isn't noticable...

the hp change was made with 06. 06 models have less torque, but more hp.
i don't think there are any real differences from the 04 and 05 except that the 04 still had some new car problems that they fixed with the 05.

04 still needed some kinks worked out. go with the 05- all things being equal

without going into it too much, 05 is your best bet...as far as winter tires everyone raves about Blizzak LM-22's. The Z is a pretty good driver in bad weather with snows.

I live in Rhode Island, and I am currently driving on Dunlop Winter Sport M3s. The 3 or 4 times I actually needed them this winter, they were great. My buddy swears by the Blizzaks on his S2000. six of one half dozen of the other.

2nd that...Bose is worthless... especially if you intend on upgrading audio... with all the different Ohms and crap that they use, it's near impossibe to upgrade and get a good sound while using other factory components...
I picked touring only for the leather, heated seat and mirrors, and power everything (which might i add wasn't a good idea)
get this: my recline motor for my driver seat burnt out... the motor ITSELF if $400 to replace...then there is the labor... good thing i bought an extended warranty...HOOT!

ya, those are pretty cool. i wouldn't want to give up my heated, auto adjusting seats, but if buy some fluke they self destructed those are nice.

self destructed...lol i like that... i would imagine that iwould find some way to move my heater unit to my new seats... cause i love my heated seats too...
the power recline i have learned to live without... not to mention that it makes getting behind the seat rather cumbersome...
so a quick recline would be nice... with micro adjustment... power sliders can stay however... i don't like the "notchyness" of the sliders on a manual seat... it's usually too far forward or too far back... with the power seats you get it right where you want it...hehe...
