hey i'm back finally... i hope you guys havent lost too much sleep over it...lol...
News:
for those of you that remember me talking about the new tranny install i had done a while back... bad news... the new tranny still makes that awful sound... y'know the rattling when idling... i don't know why but it does... so it's lead me to believe that, this is normal...
and a good while back we were discussing MPG averages... one guy (i don't remember who) said he was getting 25MPG...
i said i didn't believe it... but i must reject that statement... i was riding home one night approx.11:30 central time... level road...freeway 49 Degrees F. at 65MPH... i was getting 32MPG!!!
i would normally claim BS but my MPH comp. went from 22 (normal) to 32 so i couldn't really argue i guess...
anyways, great to be back...

I reckon I could have saved you the anguish.
So you barked enough to get a new transmission, and have now realized it is, indeed, just how the car sounds when the clutch is disengaged. Time and money lost for all parties involved.

Justinhenry: i moved and it's taken THIS long to get my internet hooked up... AS for the MPGs... 65MPH, cruise control, flat road, 49degrees...
72n: I really didn't have to do that much barking... I just dropped by, asked the service rep to check it out... thetech said he couldn't get it to do it... so i test drove with him... i found the noise... showed it to him... he ordered a new tranny... No money outta my pocket... just had to do without my car for 3 days...

MAN, we all have rattles of some kind, but who the hell drives in silence, I always have my stereo on, lol.
However, what if you have a date, and the Z is rattling, and its not sex causing the noise. LOL, what too do, what too do, hm.
Ah, wait a minute, the Z is probably not a sex car, you might have enough room to make out, but not have sex, lol.
