A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I drove my Z for the first time in a month. Weather 29 degrees but roads clear. Those of you who drive the Z year round should take a few weeks off and then you'll really appreciate the ride.
Anyhooo... Does anyone know if it is possible to disconnect the "honk" when using the remote door lock? My winter car doen't have the honk feature and I had forgotton how annoying it is. I park in a garage and hate to see people nearby startle whenever I lock the car.
Searched old threads, found nothing.

you have to hold down both unlock and lock button on the fob or something like that.
check the manual that came with the car though, it usually has the answers to all of lifes taxiing questions

dee, it IS in the owner's manual and driven had it right.

oh ya.. and lose the remote too.
i tried pressing unlock and lock. nothing happened.

You have to hold the unlock and lock buttons down for about 3 secs. And yes, it is in the manual. One note - doing this will result in the lights not flashing either. Just FYI

After doing that, the unlock won't flash, but pushing the lock button will flash once.
