A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Delivery of my z comes in about 1 month. I've read from many people that the car is horrible in the winter. I live in Philly, where winters aren't too bad, but we do have bad spells. My car will be used as my everyday car, and I was wondering if I should have good snow tires on the front and rear, or just the rear. Thanks for any advice.

Front and rear. Blizzaks come highly recommended. Only takes an inch or two and z-no-go. At least not straight!
A:
Why would you buy a new 350z and drive it in the winter? Get a beater for the winter! I live in Nebraska and our winters are very mild but.....I would never drive my new 2006 350z in the winter!
A:
my z has problems on wet road. can't imagine snow.

I've seen a couple people driving their Zs around in snow, and I can't help but think they're crazy. It's kind of like digging ditches in dress shoes. But, if you've got to do it, you've got to do it. Good luck to you.

daddyg,
PerfZ is spot on. I have an FX35 AWD for my other ride and I had to buy a set of winter wheels and tires for for it. Blizzaks are terrific. I've owned three different cars that I have purchased a winter set for.
Just don't drive them late into the spring or really fast. They have such an aggressive tread, the high speeds wears them out fast.

For your own piece of mind...BUY SNOW TIRES! A lot of the Z owners have the Blizzak's LM-22, tons of silica for better traction. The WS-50 has slica on top blocks, once worn it's just a normal seasonal tire, usually good for one season. lol
My SB ZR still feels like HEAVEN....what a wild ride!

Ok, I've taken upon myself the task of educating the world on this little snippet: it's not piece of mind: It's PEACE of mind. As in calm....not a portion.
hehe!
Happy to help, of course. lol
Another great winter tire (and I'm sure it would wear out fast on dry pavement as well, just like any other winter tire) is the Nokian Hakapellitta. Great tire.
Believe only what you think, not what you feel.
A:
i'll give you a piece of my mind.
