Find it hard to believe Toyota can produce a mass produced sports car with 350 hp for 40K. I would say 45-50K. Z should have the price advantage.

why not? you can get a pontiac gto for 30k and it has loads of hp.

You guys are confused. The photo is the Lexus LF-A, not the LF-C on which the Supra is based, and it's easy to tell by comparing the photo to the cars at Lexus.com. The Supra will more likely be $30K-40K based on engine.
The Supra is going to look somewhat like the Toyota concept on their website, using the IS350 platform. The new IS350 was a bit of a proving of the platform.

I don't see what the Bugatti Veyron has to do with anything. I don't think the 350Z, new Supra or Corvette are going to go under the title of "exotic supercars" like the Bugatti is. Let alone the fact that its price tag is out of this world.

You can bet that the new Supra will not have tire featering, transmission, electirc window, clutch chaterring, gas lid opening, etc, etc, etc, and the plethora of TSB's the 350z has had, nor the class action lawsuits filed against Toyota like those filed against Nissan regarding the 350Z.

HA ha!! the new supra will have its gremlins. anyone remember teh 3rg gen supra? all the headgasket woes it suffered? toyota flat out REFUSED to acknowledge that it was their fault. If I recall, there are a few class action lawsuits against toyota over this, and the 7mge engine was not the only one affected by the headgasket problems.
also, at $40K, for a base model supra, the 350 will probably had it its ass, for $13K less. (base vs base) you think the VQ35DE is at its HP peak at a paultry 300??? HA ha!! they are sandbagging, my freind. plus, they can always make the 400Z, using the VQ40DE in the pathfinder/frontier. tweak and tune that for sportscar duty and watch out! they wouldnt have to change mounts or NOTHING, straight bolt in.

IMO changing the name like that to match the engine size is going to get repetative.... much like the EVO V, EVO VI, EVO VII, EVO VIII, EVO XXXVIV... Sooner or later they should just call it the Z... like when or if they get to 450... that just doesn't have the same ring as 350 to me...
