New Volunteer Recall for 03-04 MY

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Hey Gang
Just wanted to pass on some new info that I just received. I was at my Nissan dealer because last night while driving on the freeway my rear tire decided it didn't want to work for me anymore. Well anyway, the service rep gave me a new TSB that is dated Feb 22, 2006. Here are the specs
Campaign I.D. # / NHTSA #: R0505 / 05V-55
Applied Vehicles: 2003-04 350Z (Z33)
Applied VINS: 2003 MY 350Z: JN1AZ3***3T000001 - 120447
2004 MY 350Z: JN1AZ3***4T000001 - 160537
INTRODUCTION
Nissan has determined that some 2003 - 2004 model year Nissan 350Z vehicles may have a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. There is a possibility that the fuel filler hose may crack and result in a fuel leakage from the hose while refueling. If an ignition source is present, a fire could occur. In addition, fuel vapor hoses may crack and cause the malfunction indicator lamp to come on. To prevent this condition from occurring, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign to replace the fuel filler and vapor hoses with new ones.
I had the tech order me my new hoses and it should be here soon.
By the way how do I attach pictures to my thread? I'll show how my tire went AWOL!
A:

It officially started in mid-February, as your 2/22/06 TSB date indicates. I'll wait for the notice in the mail for a bit longer before taking any overt action.
Let us know how your refit works out, okay?
PS: Welcome to the forum.

Yes, heard about it on Saturday
