A&Q about 350Z

Picked up my 350 Z on Wed. Pulled out of my garage today and ran into the back of my GMC serria c3, trailer hitch. Broke the rt. turn sig. and cracked the rear bumper. Its not really a bumper but the fiber glass section that makes up the rear section of the car, this would include the lisense plate area. How much is this going to cost me ? On Fri. I drove my truck to work, and got rear ended at a light. It did no damage to my truck but left a hole in the bumper of the car that hit me. Maybe this is karma for feeling smug that I got hit with no damage to me. I am going to get it fixed asap, and will never tell my friends and co-workers what a dumass thing i did.

all depends...if you go for a new bumper it will run you $350 for the bumper plus a few hundred for paint on top of that. However, if you're internet savy and can use ebay or other forums, ie my350Z.com you can pick one up for under $200 hopefully already painted to your color. It'll take a little searching but they're out there.

worst nitemare, especially running into your own vehicle.
I suggest getting reversing sensors put in your new bumper, apparently they are good for female Z drivers, but by the sounds of it you could use em.

They are only a hazard when you run into them though..

About a year ago, I was driving my car without a frong bumper (car was in an accident) and I drove over to my parents house for dinner. I parked my Z in the driveway in front of my brother's garage stall. He got up to leave after dinner, wasn't paying attention and backed his Jeep down the driveway into my Z. The trailor hitch went straight through the A/C condenser and radiator, and the hood got tweaked. I just about shot him. When you hit a trailer hitch (or it hits you), it sucks...

lol, I don't leave my hitch reciever in when it's not in use. I walk around the back of the truck and get a bruised shin real quick!

Lol, well I see your point there 72n03Zs, it's not really a hazard except for those who walk directly behind the trucks and bang their shin, or for those who stop less than 6 inches from the trucks bumper, lol. Personally, if someone's ridin my a$$ that close, I'd take pleasure in altering their grill with a chome hitch ball!!
Also, I've seen several wrecks where the hitch reciever stopped the car before it hit the trucks bumper. Saving the accidental airbag from going off in the truck, or from damagin anything on the truck at all. Car that ran into it be damned!

I had a bit of an incident the first day I took the Z to meet my parents. Their driveway is quite long and steep with a boat at the end of it, the boat trailer sits on a big metal crate.
My Mum (or as you would say Mom) was in the driveway raking leaves, and she was getting me to edge down towards the boat. My sister was coming over and she wanted me as close to the boat as possible..... I didn't know just how close she was and neither did she.... I edged a little too close, and poor Mum unbalanced by the rake, fell over the crate, over the trailer, did a backflip onto cement! Didn't break anything, but bruised really bad.....
Stunt Mum's bunch of flowers and a ride in the Z cheered her up....

I dislike ppl who drive trucks and have their trailer hitch attached without pulling a trailer..... does ppl make me mad. they shouldnt have them on and if i get into an accident with them im going to get dmg. like 10x more then im suppose to b/c they have that little metal thing sticking out ready to ram my intercooler. instead of a 3-500$ repair for both of us im going to get a $2000 bill and they walk away witout any dmg. ARRRRRRRRR....
