A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Ok, so far, I have used TurlteWax brand, and no results.
I looked at my front bumper today, and noticed the usual bad stuff, hence the reason for a bra.
I also noticed a scratch on the side of my bumper, fairly irregular shape, and its deep. All the way down to fiberglass, any of you have any luck with a certain compound?
A:
Two things...correct me anyone if I am wrong, but I don't think the 350's bumpers are fiberglass. I thought they were a Urethane compound.
Second...If the scratch is deep enough for you to fit your thumbnail in, well then I think you are S.O.L, without a sanding, buffing, and repainting job. Again, correct me if I am wrong NE1.

I think you are both mistaking my intentions. I tried to make an honest, well-intended contribution to the forum by answering Maya's questions.
I even opened myself up for correction, because as is true for everyone, I can be wrong from time to time.
Unfortunately I missed the post in which Maya mentioned his bumper was fiberglass. Well, either I missed it or I forgot.
Then Maya responds by calling me a "little smartass bitch". Kidding or not, I didn't appreciate such a harsh response to my well-intended posting. I am many things, but a "Smartass Little Bitch" is not one of them. I wonder if we met in person you would still call me that to my face...
My apologies for retaliating with a smart remark. I would like to know 35th #222, on what basis did you formulate your opinion about me?
BTW, I think that with a scratch in your bumper as deep as it sounds like your's is Maya, there is no rubbing compound that will help you out. A picture would make it easier to determine...but what I was saying (in fewer words) was that if you rub your thumbnail over the scratch and it catches pretty good, you probably are going to require more than a rubbing compound, something more like a sanding, resurfacing, and repainting. But Fiberglass is very brittle, so it may be difficult. How noticeable is the scratch?
(Was it the scratch that prompted you to want a bra?)

OK...for the record...OEM Z consist of...Bumper-plastic...Hood-aluminum...Fenders&Doors-steel...Trunk-fiberglass...
My SB ZR still feels like HEAVEN....what a wild ride!
A:
I've had my Z for 3 1/2 years and I can definitely say the trunk (hatch) is NOT fiberglass. It's steel.
A:
Thank you Sluggoz
