Nissans offer on tires??

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I have a 03 touring with 32K miles. My tires are sooooo loud. Yep,starting all over again. My dealership replaced the originals, with a free alignment, at 9k miles. So now the tires are growling again. Will Nissan or shall I say does Nissan have to replace these tires or is it out of my pocket expense at $330. per tire? All of my driving is turnpike & highway. Thanx

you have 18's or 17's? 18's im guessing...they're a little harder to come by but if you find a set on my350z.com classifieds they'll be dirt cheap. Im selling my oem 17in tires all 4 for $200. They have less than 3k miles on them.

i'm not sure if you searched this at all. i have an 03 as well. every set of tires i have gone through 2 outside of oem, nissan has paid for. just buy the tires you want of oem sizes and fax the invoices to nissan. 1800nissan1, i believe is their number. i'm out of town at present and will have to check when i fly in over the weekend. i would call first and you will also have to fax additional doc's such as registraion and vin#. i will be buying new tires shortly as well and i have no doubt nissan will reimburse again. yes they did extend the service campaign on 03 as well. i feel confident that they will continue to do so since the first extension was basically admitting a problem publically. i compare it to buying a house and the builder says you will need a new roof every year and they will pay for it. basically admitting there is a problem openly. then 3 years later says we won't pay for your new roof anymore? they already openly admitted there is a problem and then rescend the conract? they have bitten their own tongue on this one with the 03's. there is no nissan fix to resolve the problem other than hoping people will accept the issue and keep replacing tires. don't forget there is a class action suit and you are part of it by default since you own an 03. i would anticipate a settlement and they will issue tire vouchers for 1 or 2 sets of tires and that will be the end of the problem at least for them.

$330 per tire? Never have seen such a price. I had the howling problem on my 03 Z and Nissan bought me two sets that all had problems. I then decided to get Cooper tires for my Z and they are so much better. They are much quieter. Price was good too.
