Learn how to extract speed out of what you already have, and, more important, learn how to control it.

i am all for everything you guys have said if it wasnt for a customer. I do track events every month and understand the importance of driving and car control. When someone tells you you have five grand to put into their car and do it with the parts of your choice you dont tell them to do a driving school and learn to drive what you got. I really appreciate the input and i would say i have to agree as well but its not for me.
thanks again

Good luck. Hopefully you'll get some recommendations here.

Probably the best way to get the in-depth information is to search this forum on the items you are interested in.
I think most people on the board are bored with putting up their suggestions only to find out that's not what that person wants.
For example if I told you to buy a turbo and you road race and only need suspension and a roll bar.... then ....
I think with 5K you need to figure out if you want to go FI or not. Because if you do your only half way to the 10K that you really need to do it right.
If I had $5K to put into my car and didn't plan on going FI, I would buy some wheels and nice tires, touring shocks, NISMO LSD, JWT Popcharger, JWT clutch and flywheel system, and sway bars. That would take care of the $5K. Then I would save up some more money and get more goodies.

5K? tell him to spend 7k and supercharge it...FI will be the best bang for your buck, although if your asking here i dont know if your qualified to install FI or your're just not familiar with the Z.
This is THE BEST advice anyone here will give you: ready?
1) GO TO www.my350z.com
2) register
3) do a search for the products your thinking about, or post a new thread
4) read to your hearts content
any product you can think of theres probably been atleast 10 if not 100 threads about it over there. You will find very few mod answers here. preliminarily though for staying NA, what you've listed sounds like some good choices. maybe add some test pipes or atleast HF cats
One more thing, if you aren't familiar with the 350Z it is very hard to extract NA power, which is why most people who want to actually feel considerably more power step up to FI.

What kind of person would tell someone to take $5K of their money to modify their car, giving them no input and no questions asked?

someone with money to blow, but not a lot of knowledge. i'm sure they assume the shop they're taking it to knows more than them.

the kind of person who has the money to spend (and more than they know what to do with) that has other things to take care of but wants their car to be nice. If we dont make the car a little faster and more fun to drive then he is going to get a cayman s. I am a nissan person so i want to make him happy with the 350. What i would like is if there was someone who has done any of this to their car and it helped, it wasnt what they expected, instillation wasnt straight forward, or the product wasnt really all they thought it would be. I agree if we could put all the money in one place i would turbo it in a second, simply becuase you cant do anything better and im not a huge fan of superchargers on cars. I appreciate everything that has been said though, thanks guys.
