what first??

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Howdy, this is my first post so I apologize if it is a bit redundant (I checked the archives, I promise), but I am wondering what some thoughts are for what to do first as far as mods go. I just purchased my first Z (2003 Touring) and am looking to get the most bang for my buck. I'm not trying to build a racer, I'd just like to have a few ideas to begin a plan with.
Also, is ClearBra recommended? My car must have been a garage queen as it only has 9,600 miles on the odometer. Everyone who sees it
assumes it is a new car until I tell them it is an '03; I'd like to keep it that as long as possible.
Thanks for any responses,
dustwun

CLEARBRA IS A MUST
after that you should invest in a good alignment for your 03. :p

Most bang for the buck?
1) Intake cone filter
2) Replace upper plenum
3) Lightweight flywheel
4) Exhaust
and then when thats not enough:
5) Forced induction (turbos)
In that order (at least if it were me, I'd do it in that order)

id do that list up until 5, i would do suspension and brake upgrades then forced induction, but that is just me

really good point ssm86, I forgot about handling entirely. I was thinking strictly numbers, but you're right. You want a car that can turn and stop before you throw 600 HP its way.

If you replace the upper plenum, does it void any warranty?
A:

Yes...I am afraid it does. Modding any engine part will void warranty. However, if you keep your originial, what is to stop you from putting it back on if you had problems...?
I would suggest driving the car until the warranty runs out, then mod it. But that is the boring, geezer, super conservative way to live (what can I say, I am a republican).

A:

Modding the car at all will void the warranty, unless you buy Nismo parts for a premium price, and have the dealership install them.
